All of our instructors regularly attend black belt and instructors course training from Hanshi R. Johns of Dai Ichi Shotokan karate Do Houston, TX, and Goju Ryu Karate Do training from Hanshi B. Wright of The Society Of Harmonious Fist, San Antonio, TX

Jeff R. Ghee; I have been studying Shotokan Karate Do since 1980 In Columbus, OH under Sensei Allen Phillips. In 1985 I earned my 1st degree black belt under sensei Phillips. In 1988 I earned my 2nd degree black belt in Sasebo Japan as a member of the Robukan dojo. I have been teaching karate since 1986. I started my karate organization South Texas Shotokan Karate Do in 1992 which became Ikiru Shotokan Karate Do in 1997. In July of 2016 I was promoted to 7th Dan (7th degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate Do as a member of Dai Ichi Shotokan Karate Do, Houston, TX, under Hanshi Ricardo Johns Sr.
In Oct of 2016 I was promoted to 6th Dan (6th degree black belt) in Goju Ryu Karate as a member of The Society of Harmonious Fists Martial Arts Federation San Antonio, TX under the instruction of Dr. Balfour Wright, Hanshi
